TravelTracker Pro - Live Flight Status, Push Alerts + TripIt Sync App Reviews

One of the very few travel apps that accepts all kind of travel information. Unfortunately, there is no iCloud or Dropbox syncing. Instead, it forces you to sync with Tripit, or not at all. There are problems with that. First and foremost, why should I have to create an account with a third party who then tracks and monetizes my movements. Additionally, syncs arent even consistent. Notes dont sync. The status of "confirmed" is changed to "purchased" during sync. The trip description field is erased and reset to a default value. In short, I have no confidence that information I type in, survives the Tripit database. Not good!

Its a great way to keep up with all kinds of travel arrangements and plane schedules.

This used to be a really great program but now with the sync being so complicated and user unfriendly, it no longer functions across multiple devices. I have been a faithful user since TT first came out, but unless they make syncing easy and functional I won’t be for long. They need to make a desktop version that will sync with all your devices and forget Geek sync...

This is the best app for planning & managing travel needs.

It used to synch with Tripit. Now it does not. It is useless

It needs to do a better job of linking to tripit. Only portions of a trip translate to tripit, and dates get missed up.

....until sync problems with Tripit are fixed!!!!

Ive been using Travel Tracker Pro for years. It is my go-to app for keeping track of all my trips. I worked in the travel industry and I tracked a lot of trips. But what keeps me from giving TTP a higher rating is the syncing or lack thereof. Its just a pain to try and manually move all my information to all my devices. Every time Ive replaced an iPhone or iPad Ive had to manually enter all my outstanding trips to the new device. I lose all my historical data because its too much work to also enter completed trips manually. I estimate Ive had to do this 7-8 times. In this day and age of cloud computing and automatic backup and sync there is no longer any excuse for this lack of functionality.

Agree with ETider. Great app. I use the pro version. Only drawback is losing data when you change devices as he said.

Totally worth it. Very accurate and easy to use. Saves so much hassle when it comes traveling! Just email itinerary to TripIt, then Voila! Everything shows up on this app, with any minute updated changes!
