TravelTracker Pro - Live Flight Status, Push Alerts + TripIt Sync App Reviews

This is by far the most comprehensive travel organizer program. Ive used it for years, tried all the others, but always come back to this for its options and easy UI. Others have mentioned no sync, and I totally agree. There is no excuse for not having a simple iCloud sync to keep your devices automatically up-to-date. You can work around that by syncing it manually to a free Tripit account, and then downloading to another iOS device, but here is where the major flaw is. Even when you link this to your Tripit account, it keeps dropping that link and asks you to sign in to Tripit again. Each time you do, it automatically downloads from Tripit and overwrites whats on Travel Tracker for your iOS device. Because it forgets about your link frequently, you often end up entering a bunch of info into Travel Tracker, then you want to upload it to Tripit, but you cant because it lost your link. Sign in and it overwrites all the work you did with the older stuff on Tripit. This could all be solved with a simple auto sync function.

To say this developer stays on top of things would be putting it mildly. One of the very few that I have used from the Newton days who gets better over time. Always innovating, and creative. Love this app. I have been using this app from the very beginning when it was quite a bit more expensive. It has been well worth it all along. Every update adds nice functionality. Was one of the very first apps to take advantage of Tripit. Developer is very responsive and personable. I also use his expense app which is excellent. Have deleted most other travel apps. It saved me last week in Chicago when my gate was changed 3 times! Keep up the good work. Cant wait to see what next update brings. Developer is very creative.

Last updated over a year ago. iOS 7 has been released since then. Stands to reason that an app update is needed after a major OS update. The alerts and other syncing functions of this app and TripIt are falling behind and becoming a hindrance. After spending $10 on this app originally, I kind of hoped it would keep up. Seems that its wasting space on my phone at this point.

I have tried out almost more travel apps than I can count and discarded them all for one reason or another. Until now. There is no question that this is clearly the best tracker for travel on the market. It is clear, concise, and always easy to use. I can recommend it without qualification.

Love the way it organizer and the ease it updates with Trip-it. Wish it imported everything automatically that a prior program did.

Normally a great app. However, I just loaded the new update and it killed the app. Now when I launch the application, I just get a white screen with horizontal lines. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon an go through a little better QA before the next update is released.

I rated this app very high at first but with recent update it just freezes. Plus its not well maintained these days. A shame really. Most useful application on my iPhone. Recently moved up from the basic version. List management could be improved and as before, if Apple would only give developers access to the calendar, this could be the best travel management app ever. TripIt integration is a huge timesaver. Did I mention that Calendar integration would be fantastic? If/when we get calendar integration, would be nice to allow for "time to airport".

Since this latest upgrade, the app just freezes and I cant use it. I travel frequently and have come to reliy on the app to record expenses and everything else related to my trips. I hope they fix this soon, currently its bad.

Dont leave home without it!! it has very nice and useful features!

Have been using this app for about a year. Very convenient to have all my travel info in one place.

Ive used this app to plan all my international trips over the past couple of years, and it is worth every penny. I could not live without it on my trips. With this app I can capture all the details of complex journeys, whether they are by plane, train or automobile. It also allows me to realistically plan my itinerary because I can see whether or not I have allocated enough time within each day for all the activities I want to do. I can track all the info I need in one place - addresses, phone numbers, record locator numbers, confirmation numbers, seat numbers, etc. It auto syncs to airline systems to autocomplete flight times when you enter a flight. There are a few things I think would improve this app: 1) adding the ability to click through from an address to Google Map and/or navigate from one stop to another in the itinerary, 2) including a web site field in the address fields, 3) adding the ability to log into the info in the app from multiple devices, as I now have old itineraries I need on my old ipad, 4) the ability to pull location options from Google as I am manually entering attractions/hotels/etc., so that everyone doesnt have to type out details for places like the Coliseum, X hotel, by hand, and 5) the ability to create a "scratch pad" list of ideas for a trip within each trip that you can go back to later and add to specific dates. I tend to do research over a long period of time for each trip, and I throw the details in when I have time. It would make it much easier if I could copy and paste info in, but not have to pinpoint dates and times right away. Having said this, the app is amazing as is, and I highly recommend anyone who travels a lot buy it.

Ive been using this app to import Tripit travel data. Its very useful to add more details and notes to my trips. Recommended.
